Clark Introduces New NX-200 Model

Clark Outdoor Products has announced that the NX-200 "Big and Tall" model is now available for order. Pre-ordered models began shipping on May 1, 2008. Current orders may take up to 8 business days to ship. The NX-200 is a larger, wider version of the popular North American model and will sell for $369.00. While the standard North American is suitable for anyone under 6 ft. 4 in. (1.93 m) and under 275 lbs. (125 kg), the
NX-200 offers comfort for anyone up to 7 ft. (2.13 m) tall and up to 350 lbs. (158 kg). Clark expects that even those who don't need the extra space will enjoy the flatter bed ceated by the larger dimensions. The hammock weighs 3 lbs. 5 oz. (1.5 kg).

"We're really proud of the new NX-200," says Glen Richards of Clark Outdoor Products. "I'm a big guy, and it's nice to know that I can be as comfortable as a smaller guy would feel in the standard hammock."

The NX-200 comes with the new RX-200 Rain Fly. The fly offers the same width of Clark's Rain Fly XL, but even more length to accommodate the proportions of the longer hammock.

"We anticipate that customers who already own a Clark hammock may choose to order an RX-200 fly to protect their standard sized hammocks," says Richards. "Our Rain Fly XL is wide enough for most campers, but some have asked for a longer fly, and the RX-200 is the perfect solution."

The NX-200 is the first hammock to be produced for Clark's new "200 Series." The RX-200 rain fly will be available for phone order by April 2008. The Tropical Jungle Hammock model will be the next hammock produced in the larger size and should be available for online order at junglehammock.com by June 2008. Camouflaged editions of all 200 series models are scheduled to be on the market by mid-August 2008.
