The Clark Tropical 2 is the ultimate hammock for Tropical environments and was specifically designed for backpackers who are heading into warm and humid conditions. Like prior models, the head-end of the Tropical 2 is netted, allowing for greater air circulation. Should the weather take a turn for the worse, the Tropical 2 includes a nylon hood which can be raised over the head of the hammock. You will stay dry, comfortable and bug-free. The fabric of the bed has been confirmed by a lab to be 100% mosquito-proof. The four storage pockets now include flaps which prevent poisonous spiders from descending inside. You may upgrade your Clark Tropical 2 to include a WeatherShield (adds about 6.5 oz / 184 g). The WeatherShield completely encloses the hammock to create a true tent, adding privacy and extra protection from moisture and cold.

The Tropical 2 comes with our finest, most protective rain fly, capable of keeping you bone-dry in any environment. Further, the Tropical features four pockets underneath for storing boots and gear. There are also two pockets inside, handy for storing anything from a flashlight to a pistol. The pockets are spread apart to allow the fabric to breathe and keep you cool. The rain fly is removable and the netting folds into the foot of the hammock when you want nothing in between you and the stars. The Tropical's ropes are water-repelling polypropylene (1200 lbs. test).
